Meat Grinding and Sausage
Yes, another mixer gadget… this time to grind beef and pork.  Due to the ground beef recalls and
concerns with
E. coli contamination, we stopped purchasing ground beef years ago.  Grinding beef with
a food processor was just not satisfactory (at least, in our estimation), so we simply avoided recipes with
ground beef.  The food grinder attachment for the KitchenAid mixer made producing ground beef (and
ground pork for bulk sausage) a breeze – it simply could not be easier.  Here's the first Italian sausage
recipe we tried – laden with garlic, and definitely not your average breakfast variety!  Coupled with an
equal amount of ground beef, it made outstanding meatballs for a spaghetti dinner with homemade
