Soledad Observatory
The observatory is a prefabricated fiberglass ProDome made by Technical Innovations.
It was purchased (used) in Tucson, AZ, and reassembled on a 15' x15' concrete pad.
The Dome is automated and can be operated from the house.
From left to right....For wide field imaging I normally use the setup on the left, a Takahashi 106ED.  The
small scope on top of the 106 is a Borg 77ED and is used for guiding.  For smaller objects, such as
galaxies,  I use a Celestron 9.25 scope at f/5 with AO8 adaptive optics.  I use the Borg 77ED with a
Solarmax 60 Etalon filter and BF10 blocking filter for solar imaging.  The mount on the right is a TAK
Space Boy light weight mount which I use for travel.  I use a TAK NJP mount in the observatory.
Cameras include an SBIG ST10XME, an SBIG remote guider, a Hap Griffin modified Canon XSi and a
DMK video camera.
